A traditional style pull along toy made from wood - body shape from MDF, axles and wheels from dowel
Key Stage 3 - Year 9 ( Autumn Term 2009 ) - Pre-School chair
A basic style chair for a pre-School child made from wood - softwood frame with halving joints, faced with either chipboard or MDF. Additional features added.
Key Stage 3 - Year 8 ( Summer Term 2008 ) - Moisture sensor project
A simple moisture sensor circuit - one transistor, three resistors, and an LED; powered by a 9v battery - laid down with copper tape on to cardboard, then an individual design shape in acrylic.
Circuit design and components supplied by Rapid Electronics.
Key Stage 3 - Year 8 ( Spring Term 2008 ) - Maze game project
A simple maze game for a 3mm ball bearing route, walls made from softwood with a softwood frame having a lap joint at each corner; then a clear acrylic top. Individual design and colours added.
Key Stage 3 - Year 9 ( Spring Term 2007 ) - Model room
A simple room design based on an A4 size base of MDF with one short wall and one long wall. Individual design and decoration / colour schemes, and furnishing features added.
Additions of room dividers, and/or a second level to the model.
Key Stage 3 - Year 9 ( 2006 ) - Mirror project - Cartoon theme
A simple mirror with an A4 size plywood base, cut out shape for mirror. Individual design of cartoon figures and decoration / colour schemes. A hot wire pen used to outline features.
